1. Bosnian Mountains Race is a self-supported off-road bicycle race open to anyone.

2. Event is organized by Biciklomania from Banja Luka.

3. Self-supported means that participants cannot use any type of pre-planned assistance from non-racers.

    For example: their family members, friends, team, etc. Only exceptions allowed is help from fellow

    participants, local community (stores, gas stations, mechanic shops) and event organizers. Anyone not

    following this rule during the race, will be automatically disqualified. Be fair to others, be fair with yourself!

    This rule does not apply to participants who withdrawn from the race.

4. Bosnian Mountains Race will depart on Saturday, 7.09.2024 (7th of September, 2024) at 9:00 (in the

    morning).

5. Pre-race meeting, start and finish will be in Banja Luka. Exact locations will be provided to participants

    after registration process is closed.

6. There are two routes to choose from.

• Main route: 650km with time limit of 156 hours (Friday, 13.09.2024 @ 22:00)

• Short route: 450km with time limit of 108 hours (Wednesday, 11.09.2024 @ 22:00).

7. Participants are required to complete their pre-selected route within a designated time limit to be counted      as a finisher.

8. Both routes will not be marked. Everyone will rely on riding directions from their GPS devices. Each cyclist

    will receive a full route map in .fit, .gpx, and .kml files. It is their responsibility to make sure that map files

    are compatible with GPS device. Final route with details will be released to registered racers no later than

    24.08.2024.

9. Registration process will open on 1.02.2024 and close on 4.08.2024 (23:59 in Banja Luka).

10. Pricing for participation.

      5% discount for female cyclists (not applicable to females who register as pair rider)

      10% discount for cyclists competing as a pair

11. There are places along both routes (gas stations, stores, bars, restaurants, accommodations) where

      participants can purchase food or drinks (if needed), stay overnight for rest or seek shelter in case of an

      emergency.

12. We accept payments in Euro (and in KM for residents of Bosnia and Herzegovina), which can be

      completed through bank transfer and PayPal or Revolut mobile payment apps. Payment details will be

      send out in an e-mail after we receive completed registration form.

      Important when paying with PayPal: please add 5 EUR to your payment (service fee).

13. Event is open to anyone. If cyclist's age is under 18, it is required that he/she is participating with an

      adult participant or has written permission from one parent. Parent is required to be present during the

      pre-race check-in.

14. Participants are required to compete on fully operable bicycles, in good shape and without any

      mechanical issues. Bicycles have to be fitted with both working lights (front - white and rear - red) and

      rider is required to wear a helmet. All bicycles and riders are subject to pre-race inspection.

15. Only human powered bicycles are allowed. No e-bikes or other mechanically supported bicycles!

16. Each participant will be able to pick-up their starting packet on Friday, September 6th. Location and

      hours will be provided after registration is closed. During that time we will also help participants upload

      maps into navigation devices, check bicycles and make sure everything works before the start.

17. Start location will be open on Saturday, September 7th from 7:00 (in the morning). Unfortunately we will

      not be handling late check-ins nor device/map issues at that time.

18. In case participant cannot complete the route by his/her own power and decides to quit, he/she will need

      to inform us about it as soon as possible.

19. We will provide vehicle assistance to all participants. Our team will pick you up at designated locations

      along each route. Details will be sent out in e-mail after the registration is closed. Participant must be

      prepared to wait for the assistance or he/she can find its own way to return to the starting point.

20. All participants will be equipped with live tracking device. We will be giving those out on Friday before the

      race. Device has to be returned immediately after completing the ride. Same rule is for cyclists who do

      not finish the competition. 50 EUR of returnable deposit will be added to your participation payment to

      cover the fee if the device is not returned, gets damaged or lost. We will be collecting devices at the

      finish line and the deposit will be refunded back via original form of payment no later than 29.09.2024.

21. We understand that plans can change at any time. If you desire to change the selected distance or

      simply withdraw from the event, please send us an email with your request. Participants who decide to

      cancel their start, will receive money back through the same method of payment up to 30 days from

      receiving the notice.

• Participants can change their distance until 31.08.2024 (switching from riding solo to pairs and other way around is allowed until 4.08.2024)
