Banjalučki Gravel Fest is not another ordinary bicycle race, but an unforgettable adventure through northern regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Three different routes were created with one goal: experience an amazing but challenging landscape in this part of the Balkans, while riding your bicycle. Additionally a combination of dirt roads and trails, mixed with steep climbs guarantees 100% of satisfaction.

Participants will ride east from Banja Luka, into the region called Mala Evropa (Small Europe). During Austro-Hungarian Empire this entire area, which currently stretches north to border with Croatia, east towards city of Prnjavor and south around towns of Dubrava Stara and Jošavka Donja was vastly inhabited by emigrants that relocated from what is today Czech, Slovakia, Poland, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Romania. After the end of World War II, many of these people migrated back to their "new" countries. Today there are places and things along our routes that relate to those historic times.

What's new in 2024:

Partially changed routes after inaugural edition
Short route (60km) will be fully marked. That means no need for a GPS device.
Participants in long route (125 km) will be equipped with live tracking devices, and their progress will be shown on a map

Are you ready to participate in this challenge?

Before you register, let us tell you quickly about our new project. It’s called “I bike Banja Luka” and the goal is to create, build, maintain and promote extensive system of cycling routes around and from Banja Luka. Future plan includes scouting routes, creating maps for public use, making and installing signs and many more. All that for local cyclists and tourists. In the registration form we ask, if you would be interested in making a donation for “I bike Banja Luka” project. This amount will be added to the total price of registration and person who makes a donation will have a sign printed on the t-shirt "I'm part of I bike Banja Luka project".
